Sunday March 7th 2010:
MAKE A WINDOW BOX WITH SPRING BULBS
|
|
Come along to this workshop and build your own Windowbox before filling it with Spring bulbs with our Environmental Awareness Consultant Andrew.
Using a combination of hammers, drills, nails and screws with a selction of pre cut timber, make your very own windowbox to take home and decorate your place of living. The windowboxes can either be put on a window sill or placed on the floor.
Whilst brightening up your homes with the various flowers, these windowboxes and flowers also provide a good source of food for butterflies and other nectar feeding insects.
This workshop is suitable for the whole family and will include a small pocket book to take away that gives a description of the insects that will be drawn to the windowbox. Advice and tips on wildlife gardening will also be available throughout the workshop.
All windowboxes will be suitable to for painting. Guidelines for care and positioning of the windowbox will be given during the workshop. Suitable for children aged six upwards.
